Location: Blossoms Play School, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi

Reports to: Head of School

Employment Type: Full-Time (8am to 4pm)

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience (ranging between 8-12 lacs pa)

Job Description:

The Innovation and Team Lead Early Childhood at Blossoms, Sarita Vihar is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and management of the preschool. This role involves ensuring the delivery of a high-quality early childhood education program, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for young children, and leading a team of dedicated educators and staff. The Innovation and Team Lead will also be a part of the primary representatives of the school to parents, the community, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Management:
    1. Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the preschool.
    2. Develop and implement educational programs that align with the school’s philosophy and mission.
    3. Oversee daily academic and non-academic operations, including teacher education, teaching assessment, resource allocation, including supporting teachers towards the evaluation of student progress.
  2. Curriculum & Instruction:
    1. Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
    2. Ensure that the educational environment meets the needs of all students, including those with special needs and those from marginalized communities.
    3. Promote best practices in early childhood education and continuously seek opportunities for program improvement.
  3. Staff Development & Supervision:
    1. Support and retain qualified staff members.
    2. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development.
    3. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  4. Parent & Community Engagement:
    1. Serve as one of the primary points of contact for parents and address their concerns, needs, and expectations.
    2. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community members, and external organizations
    3. Create and organize the events calendar and activities that promote family and community involvement.
  5. Financial Management:
    1. Develop and manage the school’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
    2. Seek out grants and other funding opportunities to enhance school programs and facilities.
  6. Safety & Compliance:
    1. Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all students and staff.
    2. Oversee the maintenance of the school’s facilities and ensure they meet all safety standards.
    3. Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 5 years of teaching experience and 3-5 years in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education best practices and developmental milestones.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with budget management, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse school community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in education or a related field.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment in early childhood education.
  • Experience with designing and implementing Teacher Professional Development programs.
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations and accreditation processes for preschools.
  • Strong connections with community organizations and a commitment to community engagement.
